How about this as a compromise. You've publically stated that you trust Jumper to be fair. If he will accept the responsibility, why don't we all PM him with our vote? The deadline will be midnight Friday and Jump and D2 can take some time from their birthday/anniversary festivities to count the votes.

And Pina, if you've been following the tread, you know that Trav is on this way to Mexico and will not be checking the board. AL is fine with me casting his vote after I speak with him this evening. Are you going to have a problem with that?

Also there are other issues that I've brought up that I think should be given consideration.

No paper stock. Mail from Mexico is terribly slow and something as important as a CDS ballot would probably be inspected by Customs. And if that happened, you'd all have to pony up to pay the bribes to get it out of the country.

It will be a simple phone call. Would you prefer that he call you with his vote?

Should there be a tie, you can either leave the spot vacant or have a run off between the people who tied.

I would add Niki to the list. Anybody who comes onto this forum and announces they married one of the founding moderators is kind of in the family.

What defines an eligible voter? That is a good question. I guess I'd say, posting on this board within the past few (three?) months.

I will take on the responsibility of counting the votes. I also think there should be a limt to the number of candidates.

Reversing the charges isn't necessary. Being an <s>rich, white, male Republican</s> international consultant, Trav has a really cool international phone.

He won't send you an email for the same reason that he won't be on the board. Mexico City isn't cutting edge when it comes to technology and even the dial up he'll have at the hotel is iffy. If Fox is in the area, the policia shut down all communications.

But seriously, Pina, thanks for bringing that up. It made me remember that Trav would need a Mexico City access number. Got it and left him a message.

only this group could make this much of a deal out of soemthing so simple, and frankly, so silly.
